Hope Sony manage to tame the 888 down with even bigger heat sink than the Xperia pro inside ~ |

Obviously it does not have same of Pro.
Pro is way thicker, the larger body to lose heat.
Photos posted here of components show it does not have same cooling. |

Is anyone here good at editing?
I just wanted to know how Pro-i would look in white, green and pink. |

Of course. I did not get the 1iii because it was a downgrade from my PRO. PRO-I is really something different.

Here is the Pro-I sensor package with the custom ISP chip built in
I have several questions:
1) Why is it that 16mm and 24mm on the right are together without the 50mm?
2) Is there an explanation for using just 60% of the sensor? It basically makes this a smaller sensor than 1 inch.
3) Why did Sony drop tge variable telephoto and used a much shorter 50mm instead?

1) I know there are always 2 of the 3 "together". Do not know why.
2) Crop makes module slimmer, also sensor already exists, cheaper than making a 12 MP 1/1.31" just for this phone.
3) there is no space for persicope there.
Revenue from Xperia on the rise. Between july-sept/2021 was $175.704.815,35 better than jul-sept/2020. Sony does not sell how many, just that more xperia were sold. Q2/2020 sold 600.000 xperia.

1) The right one are from 1III. Obviously Sony intentionally doesnt include the variable periscopic module to make the comparision looks good here.
2) Phone thickness, cost and marketing They can build a phone that ultilize the whole 1 inch but that will make the phone ugly and dummy thick, I imagine it will be like ~15-20mm thick The marketing with the hype around 1inch sensor is calculated into their strategy Also the cost of the 1 inch capable Zeiss Tessar lens system arent cheap
3) They didnt drop it. Pro-I doesnt have it because there is no space to put it without botching the specs (ie. reducing battery,...). But the next "1" still retains that (but with updated sensors). Pro-I is just a test device to measure the response around new camera techs.

How many phones sold since april? They have not told again. I would gladly drop the 16mm to have full 1".

I have noticed how they've never said it's a 1" sensor themselves.
It's a "1.0 type sensor".

Well the cropping has its perks though technically they shouldn't market it as 1 inch sensor since it's technically not utilizing the whole sensor.
"1.0 Type sensor is a more suitable marketing".
But then again, the pro-I won't gain this much attention from the press and media if they didn't mention the 1.0 inch sensor.
This phone is by far Xperia's most prominent announcement to date albeit controversial. I would even daresay, it has even surpass the Xperia Z and all the Xperia in terms of generating this much up hype.
The Xperia pro-I is the first Xperia I have seen that have attracted non-Sony Fans
Going back to the sensor, the cropping made it possible for the focus points to increase from 70% to 90%.
Moreover, as Dpreview has mentioned, the cropping during video recording is decreased due to the larger unused space.
