The design is definitely not as sleek as X1 series but the camera island is miles better than other cameraphones with large sensors.

Also, I think this has better image production than the 1iii, it is just that I think they're marketing more as a video-centric cameraphone to differentiate it with the 1iii.

If it is based on 1iii, which may be because of the design, I would guess $1500-1650.

Some photographic info:

- 1" 4:3 is 122.88mm2 area and 16mm diagonal. To compare, imx557 is 44mm2 area.

- 1" + F2.0 is Full Frame f5.4
- At 24mm, aperture has 4,44mm diameter. I think 1iii has bit over 3mm.

In case 💰 difference is not problem for you, get this over 1iii.

More 💰 earned = more budget for next devices to get better.

506 is not dual pixel. Weird after using dual pixel for 3 years.

I bet some dumb guys on twitter : " Hey MKBHD, when review is out? "

The sensor has something similar to Dual Pixel (I wont call it DP because it have some differences). Also the 3D iTOF helps focusing too. Although I missed the Laser AF (since the iTOF will struggle at low light) and color temp sensor (aka RGBC-IR).

You are very optimistic when ti comes to pricing
ZV-1 is $700 and if we add the price of 1III to it then the ballpark well north of $2,000 is not that far off. If they price this as same as the original Pro I would be happy and maybe even buy it. I was thinking of gettin RX100M7 anyway for point and shoot events I go to where mobile capture quality just can't do it.

Yeah there's no way that's going to be a zoom lens on a 1" sensor.

I've been waiting years for them to do a 1" sensor in a phone, and this looks great. I really like style of the frame and buttons. I'm assuming the other two cameras are basically the ultrawide and telephoto from the 1ii/5ii

The Photo Pro screens show 12Mp, but Sony only make 20Mp 1" sensors. That would give a little bit of leeway for zooming if defaulted to 12Mp.

Edit: oh is that sensor shift stabilisation? The sensor seems to be mounted on a set of spring like arms?

It has to be new sensor or placed behind 19mm and cropped.

Only ways to be 12MP.

Is this one gonna be with Pro on website or with the test?

When viewed from the front, there appears to be a small hole on the bottom left of the frame. Could this be a return of the lanyard loop?

One video teaser definitely shows the strap.

I am surprised Hyder Tech and " some name Tech" other channels still do not have those fake camera battles yet. 😰

I see usb and microphone only. Unless you mean on the same side of sim tray. <
That thing Z series had , it is almost as big as the usb.
