Ha ha ha.
Note 8 is launching earlier because S8 sales is disappointing. Who would have guess this will happen after the note 7 drama? Certainly not 'a hardcore samsung fanboy'.

It's been around for a long time.

How long has been KNOX around? Since S6 days? Will be nice to see how long Samsung continues support and development for it. If they are dedicated to it, that will be awesome.
Knox has been around since 2013
I believe amongst the first phones to get it were the Galaxy S3 and Note 2.
Ever since then they have baked it deeper and deeper into our Devices, and now it's at hardware level as well as software.

"Samsung is not revealing sales figures possibly due to slowing sales. We assume the S8 is selling less than the S7."
Ohhhh , How sad.

Do what his fellow Sony fans do and ignore him
Sales are neither here nor there when Samsung are about to post Record profits, more than some Silicone Valley companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon combined regardless of Phone sales and Note 7
Lol Sony are still fighting for scraps with all the other has-beens.
Samsung Electronics’ Q2 operating profit is projected surpass that of Apple. In fact, it’ll be more in line with Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google’s operating profits put together.
....
To put it in perspective, Samsung Electronics’ biggest rival, Apple, is estimated to have made $10.55 during the same quarter; in fact, Samsung’s $11.6 to $12.3 billion figure is said to be similar to the operating profits of Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google combined. The total operating profits from these four companies during Q1 was around $11.15 billion. Other large corporations like Exxon Mobil and Walmart are unlikely to pass the $10 billion mark, the report claims.
Android Authority
why are we even talking Sony here, Samsung is pulling in more profits than some oil companies, they are way below Samsungs league at this point.

Seems the Galaxy Note 8 is on course to be announced in late August much like Note 4, Note 5 and Note 7 none of that BS of an early release crap the analysts and their clueless followers wanted to believe
Samsung CEO says Galaxy Note 8 will be announced in late August, first wave arriving in September

October launch outside of UK, US and S.Korea is about right, I got my Note 4 in Oct 2014
Looking forward to the Note 8, iPhone 8 Plus Google Pixel 2 XL and LG V30, the juggernauts of 2017 going to be a goodie!

I remember when concrete rumors of the 960fps camera leaked for the XZP we suddenly got a ton of news on the 1000fps slo-mo camera on the Galaxy S8. I'm interested in the battery, we're not seeing increased capacity these days yet the battery life seems to be improving so lets see what sort of capacity we get considering the size of the device. |

Hopefully we see at least 3600mAh in the Note 8, but I am betting they go 3500mAh.
Seems Galaxy S8 is selling just fine
Samsung CEO confirms Galaxy S8 sales are 15% higher than Galaxy S7's

Been doing some reading up on the Exynos 8895 found in S8 and S8+, I had no idea how extremely powerful this SoC was, I knew it powerful, but not this powerful, the damn thing supports both recording and playback of 4K content @120FPS that is mental! Gaming on it must be nuts, I know Rockstar tend to be slow at optimising GTA San Andreas for new SoCs, hopefully they get around to optimising for 8895 before the Note 8 arrives

This must be due to Aussie Playing all those High Fidelity Games and watching all those Google Play Movies on that glorious 6.2inch Infinity Display
Survey shows Samsung Galaxy S8+ producing the highest daily revenue per active user last month
The Apple iPhone has traditionally been the top revenue producing phone in North America. In other words, more games have been purchased by iPhone users than by those sporting an Android handset. And while that continues to be true for the most part, fresh data shows that the iPhone is being challenged by the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the Google Pixel XLfor the title of the top revenue producing phone in North America.

Google Daydream VR Support has begun rolling out to the Galaxy S8, apparently the Note 8 will get it to. This would make Samsung devices the best supported VR devices around wouldn't it? Considering they have Oculus support with Gear VR which already has quite a bit of content and now Google Daydream, very impressive.
Galaxy S8 Daydream rollout begins as Google promises support on 11 phones by end of year
