Anyone done the update on the Samsung Web Browser!? My word, is it fast!

Something Reviewers keep overlooking is that web browser, it is far less of a resource hog vs. Google Chrome, but it does the job just as fast, if not faster.

The only place I now use Chrome is on the laptop, I use Safari happily on my iPad Air 2 and Samsung Browser on my S7 Edge. The OEM browsers so a far better job with the hardware they are built for.

The Samsung Browser is pretty good but ive hardly used it since I stick to Chrome just to stay in sync with my PC.

Give the Samsung Browser a go, you may end up disabling Chrome as I did

The AdBlocking feature in Samsung Browser alone makes it worth it, I am so used to it that I get shocked when I see other people's phones on Chrome being bombarded by Ads.

Anyway, seems the the S8 is doing very well, especially in its home country:

This is quite a nice read:

The Galaxy S8+ can clearly change an owner's view of their iPhone 7 Plus

I'm thankfully not feeling FOMO, S7 Edge serving me well, but I must say I can't help but go play on a S8+ when I go into a phone shop, I just don't get how Samsung manages to be head and shoulders so far ahead of the competition with their Displays year after year, it just stands out so well amongst all the other stuff.

Even the older S7 and S7 Edge, I still cannot believe how stunning these Displays are, set mine to 50% with Video Enhancer turned On and watched a 1440P YouTube video and I am gobsmacked.

My brother went and got himself a S8+ while he still has his iPhone 7+. Apart from the iOS fluidity, he likes the S8 better especially the way it looks and the display.

That is awesome, Android has really come a long way vs. iPhone in the last 3years, I just hope the Updates situation can do the same with Project Treble in Android O 8.0.

So today I was watching a whole lot of YouTube on my S7 Edge with Video Enhancer turned On, and found out it's possible to watch 1440P@60FPS videos, I had no idea this was even possible on YouTube, I thought it only went up to 1440P@30FPS and 2160@30FPS. Watching at 1440@60FPS must have been the most incredibly amazing thing I've seen on a Mobile Display, I am truly impressed

S8 users must try it.

Unfortunately it uses a IPS LCD (may as well be 1080P@60FPS) on a phone with thick bezels, I keep thinking it's a 5.2inch display phone when I watch the reviews.

I hope we see 4K SuperAMOLED soon with Samsung's Video Enhancer option , now that would be truly amazing quite happy with 1440@60FPS though, looks incredible especially with the pop out effect the curved display creates.

I need to get my Narcos season 2 episodes in 1440P@60FPS! Lol!

What sort of Screen On Time is the XZ Premium getting without Stamina Mode? ~7-8hours?

lol oh tsepz.. why can't you just admit that XZP has some nice features? Win some, Lose some you know?

sometimes i watch video comparisons with the S8+ and i wonder if the S8+ has a 5 inch screen cause of those black bars on the sides.. shame. or the fact that its HDR support isn't a hardware native feature, shame. see? It's easy to pick silly things and make them negative. Can't we all just enjoy our phone of choice and get along?

Go to the beginning of the XZP thread, all my positive thoughts of it are there. funny how people forgot that I was a fan of it until Sony pulled their usual BS of early announcements and later release, the vagueness around whether it's 4K always or in parts of the UI , the lack of proper marketing before release, the claimed best in class camera and display which turned out not to be the best and then the usual conspiracy of any criticism of a Sony in this forum came in.

Go have a read.

I fully respect your opinion on the S8, heck you could call the S7 Edge I used crappie and I would respect that as your opinion is just that mate

From the day I tried a Nokia N85, I became a huge AMOLED fan, I even had the Nokia N8-00 on review at some point and my main issue was it's lower resolution vs. My then main phone the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i, but I knew my next phone needed to have AMOLED, to me no matter how good IPS LCD gets, AMOLED keeps taking even bigger leaps. The vivid colours mixewith hi-res just do it for me.

If Samsung one day do what Sony has been doing the the last few years I will also leave Samsung, I can flip at one bad experience on a brand, so far Samsung and Apple have done me well. I did have a Samsung tablet that turned to be crappie and that's what brought me to buying iPads for my tablet solution.

Side note: guys I have installed the Blackberry Keyboard on my S7 Edge and it is freaking incredible to type on, swiping up on the words I want etc... Thoroughly enjoying it.

oh i do remember your positive remarks at the beginning of the XZP thread. in fact, i recall being surprised to see it and posting just that. i am simply saying we all have our preferences and surely we can respect each other's opinions while admitting when another device has a better feature. anyway, it's all fine and good.

i use the google keyboard simply cause it makes finding gifs and emojis easy plus search is built right in without ever having to leave the current screen.
