Got my GiffGaff sim sitting right next to me. Might actually activate it one day, until then its the O2 business line which is the same thing really.

I agree with you on the bundle allowances, times them all by ten then you're in business. The advert goes on about a connected life, guy streaming videos, another online gaming, that'll be for just a day then!

GiffGaff told me on their community forums that for general browsing, some videos & downloading you will never have an issue. It's just people who use 3 gig a day they don't like. But I guess in that sense it is truly not as unlimited as T Mobile Full Monty,Three UK's One Plan or new Virgin tariffs which are also unlimited. I generally don't have any issues with O2. Have moved to them temp till I get my GG sim. GiffGaff sims work in locked O2 phones

They do indeed.

No over the weekend from the 29th many people have been unable to topup, buy goodbags / gigabags, make calls or text or use the web, see their balance or all of the above.

Seems like every month when my mother tops up, i go online to choose her goodybag and its down. Giffgaff - good value but not very good reliability.

Yes,I did hear that their servers are not really upto the job. They are a victim of their own success. I have read it is down alot which kinda worries me as I was planning on using a GiffGaff sim in my O2 Xperia P. I once read that their main base was ruined by a flood,GiffGaff

The certainly need to invest money in their network because they're now bleeding customers.

Read their forum, last time i checked the page about complaints started on 29th November was 75 pages long ! Its probably double that since last night.

They need to stop sponsoring repeats on Dave and buy some new computer equipment.

Yeah I did read that the issues they have is not always down to O2 network. But they seem to stress that the majority of customers are happy and that you only hear of so many complaints due to it being an open community. On other networks you might not hear of as many complaints due to call centres rather than an open community online. Am probably sure that if you had customer services like that on Three or Orange instead of call centres the complaints list would be 10,000 pages long

Maybe, but still the amount of issues far outweighs anything other networks seem to have. The only others which have been so embarrased this year was probably O2 when their network went down in July and then again a few weeks ago.

Im starting to think the only worthwhile network to be on is EE, because they do have the most cell towers regardless of their 4G prices.

The girlfriend always has signal, which as you can expect p****s me off when im the phone geek of the two of us. Often ive resorted to telling a porky and said ive had signal before when ive not.

So far so good ported my number to GiffGaff and all went smoothly and internet just as fast as O2 is. Something strange is O2 pay and go don't offer call waiting but GiffGaff does

I been reading all over the web people complaining that since the big switch over to EE the network has gone tits up. Lots of complaints of 3G signal and speed gone down since 4G switch on. But this could be alot of upgrading going on. I think EE has rushed into this and should have done it's upgrading before launching.

T-Mobile are offering a similar deal to me, I can upgrade early, with them discounting what's left on my contract.
I was thinking of moving to another network but after reading these last few posts I may be better off staying with them.

I'd stay with T-mobile also.

Them plus Orange combined give you EE, which is the biggest network around. Which also guarantees you'll get a pretty good signal in most places. In theory.

If they were to call me up to buy me out of my contract i'd probably do it if there was a phone out to replace my SGS3.
