Leaked confidential screenshots hint that Apple's iPhone 5 could launch worldwide on October 21.

Steve Jobs retired?
I don't find any news for that (appreciate a link if I missed something)

last I heard he removed himself as CEO and took the Chairman of the Board position which for those with corporate knowledge is actually not a great drop in responsibility. Indeed the chair can overrule CEO decisions and even be part of the process that removes/replaces a CEO from their position as was seen by the firing of Carol Bartz from Yahoo just this week by the board.

perhaps the last few posters in this topic need to have some understanding of the real world of business before making juvenile remarks to riducle what they don't understand... including the process of trying to protect intellectual property rights/trademarks/patents for whom eventually the decision rests with the patent court process and not the company claiming protection from what has already been granted to them.

Masseur I heard about it on bbc/Itv news about 2 weeks ago or so,
so if you never heard about that or if they got it wrong but don't blame me
but what I put ^^ is what they said

Ps Im not a Juvenile thankyou!
but now you mention that word im thinking this is a juvvy thing for Apple to create!

i'm not biased against them in any way but I find they are becoming quite an annoying company lately!
with all recent topics etc and this one here is pretty amusing stunt to pull if any!

yeah sorry, I came on a bit strong as I'd been up all night working and probably should have not posted at all.

I guess if it came from Apple it would by iJuvvy?

Anyway, I don't agree with Apples tactics at all, but they certainly do have the right to protection

@masseur

Apple lost the right to protect their patents when they started to lie and tamper with the evidence which they so clearly did. I would be fine with them if they had kept the legal proceedings clean and honest but what they are doing now is unacceptable and immoral.

Apple lost the right?

Is that a legal ruling that has been made or just what you wish for?

Again, I don't agree with those sort if tactics though scaling can be used in such cases to show similarities but such scaling should be declared as part of the claims

Yes i think they should lose the right to protect at least one of the patents in question but as a legal punishment when they clearly used deception. Not to mention the blatant lie that they somehow invented the tablet PC when that was around decades before Apple was even properly established and its these sort of dirty tricks that make Apple look stupid.
