If I'm not mistaken, you get HDMI cable with Arc. Is it the same with Arc S?

Can`t comment on web browsing as i do all that via pc, unless an app requires a download BUT i would use WiFi for that.

Yes i got HDMI cable (IM820) same as arc i think.

I am more Disappointed by not having 3D Multi Angle which was one of the reasons to get the S in the first place.

In summary: I just have an ARC @ 1.4Ghz and the software is already available @ XDA for use on any other ARC.

I know what you have to say. My X10 got into water and now I'm waiting for Arc S. Im sure it's going to be really nice using Arc S as it's same as Arc. I just want the overall speed faster than X10. As I do lot of browsing on the go using 3G, I'm hoping the multi touch is smooth and not very laggy. Did you try to take 3D picture and connect on 3D TV? thanks for your help and reviews

Yes it`s faster than X10 trust me (my dad currently has X10i (gingerbread 2.3)).

Sorry don`t have a 3D TV nor do any of my friends so cant comment. i could send you a 3d image if it helps (.jpg paired with a .MPO file (whatever that is?))

0.4GHz isnt really a lot, my Satio (previous) was only 600MHz (0.6GHz)

Hope you like the ARC as i do and let me know when she arrives.

Sony Ericsson launched two new phones, Xperia arc S and Xperia neo V that deliver the best in entertainment experiences to consumers.

With the upgrade to the 2.3.4 version of the Gingerbread platform, all consumers will enjoy enhanced entertainment experiences on 2011 Xperia smartphones, ranging from Facebook inside Xperia; gesture input; screen capture function to the world's first 3D sweep panorama functionality powered by Sony.

Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V

I'm still waiting for it's launch in India. Most of the places in Asia is already launched. I don't know why it's still not out in India. I guess it's just the bad luck

"There’s no doubt the Xperia Arc S is one of the best-looking Sony Ericsson has yet delivered, and the bonus of the sprightlier chip means an already accomplished handset now has more strings to its bow. If you admired the first one, you’ll like this even more."

They give it 5 stars....

Hi. Just got my Arc S and I'm very happy with it, but then I would be as I've just from a Nokia N8! I'm very happy to be returning to the Sony Ericsson fold after a couple of years dabbling with Nokia. Never again! However as this is my first Android phone and being an inveterate fiddler I've done mucked around with it for a few days before doing a factory reset (is this the default behaviour of all Esato forum members ) My problem is I foolishly wiped the SD card during the factory reset - I know, I know I should have taken a copy of the SD card beforehand. Fact is I didn't and now I would like to restore the SD card to it's factory condition as I have lost the default images and music but also the user manual and probably some other stuff I haven't realised is missing yet.

Does anyone have a backup image of the original SD card I could have copy of or know where I could download it from?

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Few questions (I have the original arc) Is the black version the same colour as the original midnight blue on the front? The bit at the top where the light sensor and earpiece are located? I presume the back cover is just completely black as unlike the midnight which has a gradient? So I could potentially order a black battery cover and make my phone look like an arc s? not that I'd wont too, I love the colour of it but as an option.

Also I cannot understand some reviews say the on off button has been made better? is this true?

thanks

Is Arc S 4G? just want to confirm.

I read this on phone arena review page 2

"As far as connectivity goes, the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S has it all but 4G – 14.4Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, and DLNA for media streaming"
