Not a bad bump up but no physical changes really apart from the new colour.
So is this purely a software upgrade as it is still using the same processor is it not?

MSM8255T 1.4Ghz compare to MSM8255 1 Ghz from original
such a not worthy upgrade IMO! I don't know why keep doing this to relatively-old customers (back-stabbed) them.

No not the same processor the normal arc is 1Ghz but this is mostly a software upgrade.
I wonder if the the normal arc will get this software upgrade?

In iPhone 3G[S] mean "Speed"
In Galaxy S mean "Smart"
In HTC Wildfire S / Desire S "?"
In Arc S "......"
waiting for you to define it meaning?

Now that's fail. Only upgrade over ARC is the overclocked CPU. Is this really worth it? -_- |

They could have just made it like this in the first place...
Anywho, people 300 people complain about the dual core missing, well, I dont see it as a problem! (yes, ive used galaxy s II etc)
Despite what some think, there are still limited apps suited for dual core devices. And 2.3.4 better supports it, but not fully as yet afaik. ICS should cover that.
O and I dont see why it will come out in Q4. Its mainly just a cpu speed increase and software changes. Should come out very early OCtober then as its not many changes!

I supposed they are extending the life of the Arc until the 2012 phones are announced.
I agree it's not the most exciting news but the jump in processor speed will still be welcome, however, wouldn't it have been great if these specs came with the original Arc when launched?
