How easy/difficult is it to root Androids the GS@ in particular?
very easy mate as no locked bootloader, so you can flash an insecure kernel like CF Root... hoping the bold 9900 appears on O2 next week, showing as coming soon on their site still... last date my mate said was the 15th, so he should have stock on the 16th... another day for delivery from Glasgow to London and there she will be, surrounded by the flagship BB device... bitch slapping them around... my lovely S2... been looking forward to getting it for way too long, been on XDA checking out what I wanna put under the bonnet... kernel, ROM and theme decided and a load of other stuff too... RIP BB Curve, naa screw that... burn burn burn! |

Interesting the SGS2 is here in the Caribbean available on Bmobile (formerly Cable and Wireless) before it gets to the USA. Go Sammy!

Doesnt suprise me you got it first mate... all the US networks love to butcher their phones with outer branding and a load of software stuff, must keep the manufacturers busy... but the Samsung press conference for the US release is on the 29th August so all will be revealed soon... Especially confirmation of the different network names, as stupid as they will be... |

I really don't get the different names for the same phone on different networks. Waste of time if you ask me unless I am missing something.

imo, stock roms on this phone are so good there's no need to use custom roms...certainly, kf3 is silky smooth and lightnin fast and its not even optimised for dual core...good times ahead. |

Congrats man. If you want to give it away because it is disappointingly slow and the screen is not good enough then I can give you an address to send it to.
