Update:
He left his phone in a shop earlier so chased to make sure the SGS2 will be arriving tomorrow... It wont be so he went out and bought one on PAYG along with a replacement SIM so now he's waiting for it to activate...
Setup Exchange on it for him and had a general play and all I can say is wow... Really like it and definitely want one!
After playing with one in a shop a few times, with it connected to the security devices, I wasnt sure about size and that... But in the flesh it is amazingly slim and light! |

God damn it!!!. despite my deep satisfaction with my gs1, i felt compelled to order one from tesco on a 12 month contract (190.00 laid down for handset). it was bad enough that my mrs has one, and yet, three of my work collegues have bought one within the last two weeks...i see them everywhere!!! . so, fingers crossed i pass the credit check...i want it so badly...lol. |

I had a play with a live one today in a store for about 15 mins. Conclusion yes it's fast but I find it way too big skinny & slab like. And I hate the design too. But using it I really did not notice the HUGE difference in speeds & found the black background to menus boring & dull. Most handsets with a single core is fast enough for me in the real world anyway I was not THAT blown away by the screen I actually thought the Arc looked more vibrant only the colours & blacks are better on the Samsung but this is all just my opinion And it's just way too expensive imo.

ok. got the gs2...took everything off my original gs and dumped it on my gs2. all apps work (tubemate, tapatalk, hdr+, retro cam, picsay pro).
buttery smooth operation..loving it so far..no issues using it with one hand. |

What would you say are improvement over the GS leaving out the obvious things such as speed.

well, the screen is outstanding...ive read about banding but there's nothing here...also, i can't quite believe how thin it is, even tho my wife has had hers for a while. the lightest of touches on the phone and it responds. wifi direct is also fantastic. as is kies air. camera is excellent, and the full hd is good too. i updated through kies earlier and the focus issue on 1080p recording is gone..at least for me..its just better all round. evolution not revolution...that sums it up. tho i can't wait to see these dual cores put to work. battery seems pretty good also...tho i'm on my second cycle, i expect it to improve. |

Can someone give a comparison between screens on the SGSII, iPhone 4 and the HTC Sensation? Which has the better screen?
Thanks

Awaitin on Vodafone to contact me about this phone as due a Upgrade,
if they dont give me a good deal on my current plan Iwill leave it till Xmas as im sure other phones will be out by then which might be better in theory?
see what happens anyway, I felt the Galaxy 2 was abit coomplicated looking at the menus on it,
but then the Gingerbread on the new Xperias are just as mental too

Nah,GB on Xperia's is the same just a different UI on top like Samsung Touch Wiz or UX. If you get an upgrade make sure you get a decent data deal

Hopefully not long for me to wait now... Contract on Orange is up so just gotta wait for the powers that be to sort out the new O2 lines and a lovely S2 will be mine!
My boss is very impressed with it, seems like he's been converted to the little green robot! |
