@masseur: thanks.

I'm still confused to choose between HD2 and 3GS. @masseur could you point out some advantage and disadvantage of both phones? Cause you have both and have been using both.

@adnansanni...

Positives of HD2...
*Huge display, which is very responsive and as vivid and bright as the iPhone if not more so!
*Easy to customise in regards to ROM updates and themes etc.
*Great camera (once u install the hotfix)
*Sense Overlay is amazing in my opinion.
*Has the geeky 'WOW' factor!
*Has loads of emulators and has the worlds fastest mobile based PS1 Emulator!
*Snapdragon processor which allows for proper multitasking!
*Phone will be getting a Windows Mobile 7 update...
*If you install Skyfire internet browser u get full flash support so can watch tv etc on the phone.

Negatives of HD2...
*App store is not that great (there are ways round this though!)
*Once purchased u need to install some must haves first to get it to be as reliable as the iPhone.
*Battery life not that great, i get about 1 half days out of mine!
*Screen can be too responsive sometimes.
*Still some kinks in the messaging app but these will be sorted out soon!
*Not as easy to just pick up and play with like the iPhone.

These are the main + and - i can think about... but to be honest my iPhone 3G has now been in its box since getting the HD2... i LOVE it!

sorry, I missed this... but voda_jon has done a good job describing though I don't agree with all

for example you can multi task on iphone if you are prepared to jailbreak
the HD2 is reliable but I think voda_jon meant that you'd want to download apps to make it as useful as the iphone
the screen can be over responsive but it can be tamed by a simple hack, and the easy hacks/registry changes are definitly what has always been the best thing about windows mobile

the latest is that the HD2 may or may not get the windows 7 update but in any case that may be 9 months or more away. You can already get the latest 6.5.3 ROM from xda-deveopers.

unfortunately it is the apps that is the killer, together with the obvious active interest Apple shows in the iphone that makes it for me. The HD2 has been the closest I have come to iphone usability but this weekend I have sold my HD2 before it loses too much value.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Apple should stick something the size and resolution of the HD2 screen on the iphone in their next incarnation

@masseur: Thanks for input.

I always installed softwares on my computers or mobiles that only I needed. I really don't mind about apple's apps (although I've MacBook pro and iPod touch 3rd generation 64GB). So I think that should not be a big deal for me.

Today I bought the HD2 which is cost $743 US. This is my first windows mobile, so I'm not sure that I'm gonna like it or not.

Could you give me some links to useful information of windows mobile or HD2?

Finally my MSI BGP100 Bluetooth Gamepad has arrived and after some tinkering on FPSCE its working and its working GOOOOOOODDDD!!!!

Been playing Gran Tourismo 2 and Final Fantasy 7 and i am amazed at how smoothly and fault free this emulator is running on the HD2!!!

Honestly guys spend the extra £25 and get the gamepad! its a must have purchase!

@voda_jon: Congratulation. Could you post a picture your Gamepad while it connect to phone?

Anyway I have two questions:
My N86 and HD2 both have micro-usb charger. N86’s charger’s output is 1500mA and HD2’s charger’s output is 1A (1000mA). Both chargers’ input is same.
I don’t want to carry to chargers which are identically almost same. My question is: if I use 1500mA to charge HD2 then will it cause any problem or damage the battery?

And
What is the last ROM version of UK (there aren't any for Bangladesh)?
Mine is 1.48.405.2. Is it the last one?

yeh 1.48 is the latest official ROM... on xda-developers u can get up to 2.01 but its still a bit buggy to be honest.

and the charger will work fine. i use my wifes Nokia X6 charger and its fine now.

@voda_job: thanks man.

Are there any need to clean registries and junk files like desktop windows? If yes then could you tell me a good software’s name for that? I don’t like the build-in file manager (which isn’t optimized for fingers tips), is there any good one than that?
And if you some post must have software’s names then that would be very useful to me.

Bump, this phone is still selling and has just come out in the USA a few weeks ago.
Any new good apps?
