I don't know if anybody noticed before nor have I known until now in that CNET video about the Idou but while the guy was playing around with the browser, it supports Flash as seen while he was browsing the CNET page. Has this been mentioned before about the specs on the phone or maybe I'm just lacking a wee bit behind on updates? Here's the vid.

...and a large Xenon flash. It would be great if these two features could be accommodated in a 12mm casing but until that day comes then I'm happy to put up with the extra bulk, it wouldn't be the same phone otherwise.

Only you made any comparison between your posts and those of a 16 year old.

If as you claim, you have used both the IDOU and the Nokia N97 I for one am pleased for you and would like to ask what the user experience has been like for you?

First, I never claimed anywhere I have USED a Idou OR an N97, second the 16 yr old comment was due to your original post in which that's what you seem to think I am.
So it pretty much sums up the you didn't read my reply properly or didn't understand it, and you also mention several times you aren't interested in certain points, that's basically an easy way to not have to defend YOUR points of the argument because you know they do not stand up.

You are the one who is comparing the Idou to the Nokia 5800, NOT me, YOU state the Idou is not state of the art? I want to know what YOUR definition of state of the art actually is then?
You are making replay's to things I have not said, but please as i said, tell me what 'state of the art' is if it's not the camera or CPU in the Idou?

I compared Idou phone design and not the technical specifications, when slightly Aplle has produced a style and clean lines, learn to do even in Korea, and Sony knows this too, but fans will not vote .. see fans concepts, no camel humbs!

Ok then, why don't you try and fit a 12 megapixel camera and xenon flash and a lens cover all in a 12mm case? Oh and also leave room for the phone battery, motherboard and lcd.

Its just not possible with todays technology. Maybe in a few years time the xenon capacitors will be smaller, but for now we will just have to live with the extra thickness of xenon flash.

The extra thickness is actually endearing for me. It makes me feel like I'm holding something important. Cheeky me!

well consider all S60 devices' OSS Webkit browser supports Flash Lite 3.0 or HTML's Flash 9 on your computer - I see no shock in this.

See when you ignore the capabilities of a platform because you despise the maker or proputure of that platform or the devices its featured on ... you miss what its capable off.

right now Symbian^2 still has yet to be finalized and shipped to developers or to manufacturers. A pre-beta is available to manufacturers and providers but its not ready to load on a device jsut yet, but SOON as its ahead of schedule by almost 3mths. Right now Idou is still running S60 5th Edition yet very tweaked - just as much as Samsungs Omnia HD i8510 model is.

I'm sure Prom1 has got it mixed up and just a typo. Samsung Omnia i8510 does run on S60 v3 while the i8910 (Omnia HD) runs on S60 v5.

Samsung i8510 is the Innov8 running S60v3 fp2.
Omnia is the WM6.1
And i8910 or OmniaHD is the one running S60v5.

Definately a typo guys. Thanks for catching that.
Innov8 is i8510, while OminaHD is now named i8910. Gots to be careful.

Ok, ignoring my little tiff with Nitro
Has anyone heard of ANY turn by turn sat nav software comming to the Idou? I see that the Garmin one runs on the 5800 after a patch but nothing about the Idou or N97? They both have the same screen res and that seems to be the problem.
Would the Garmin work and upscale at all?
I've a feeling we will see Co Pilot but not until the next release?

I am getting tempted by the HTC Magic but the camera is just..we..crap really! And that's one of my requirements. A good camera.
