I just got my T68 back from the repair center, and it has been updated to
R6A012
And I am in the USA! The service center is in Chanhassen Minnesota, and I only live 30 minutes away! I had to get the T68 fixed because of some signal dropping problems, and when it was mailed back to me they had the problem fixed, and new firmware installed! I was very delighted because I didn't ask for the upgrade! I had R4F004 (I think) put on it last year, and was affriad that it would void my warrenty, so I didn't want to draw any attention to it by asking for an upgrade. But in the end it all worked out great!
I'm a very satisfied Sony Ericsson customer

Cool Shrubba. How long did it take?

Do you notice any improvement in menu scrolling or any other features?

Would you do me a favor and check to see if you can still save pictures from wap sites by using the 'Save picture' function under the options menu? Some people are saying AT&T's latest firmware has that feature disabled. So I'm curious to know if it's an AT&T issue or a SE issue, but I suspect it's just AT&T trying to make their users pay more $$ to customize their phones with downloaded content.

Thanks,

How can you tell what firmware you are on?

Why are you so happy? Is there something special with your firmware update?

@elfer

http://www.esato.com/help/faq.php#softwareversion

Tells you how to check your SW.
Reason for his joy is that he now has the latest SW and that will include less bugs and so on.

Try it, you might find you get a "new" phone.

To be honest, i really don't notice any differencies... but I haven't used the phone for 2 weeks prior to getting it fixed, so the 'old' way isn't that fresh in my mind
I can save some pictures, and others it just lags forever... so I guess it is a case by case deal... sorry that I can't be more precise, but, yes I can save pictures, just not all.

@shrubba
Thanks for the info. Now I just have to decide whether I will flash mine (i'm using R3C001). While I'd really like faster menu scrolling, etc., I'm not sure if I'm willing to deal with the potential problems related to flashing, such as AT&T voiding my warrenty, and discovering new functional limitations (i.e. 'save picture' disabled).
