Is there a application for the Sony Ericsson V640i or W910i that gives you information on MP3s including the KBPS so i can find out if its 64KBPS or 32KBPS or something else?

So far i got KD Player which gives that info on some songs saying if its 32KBPS but then sometimes it gives false readings saying one song is 456KBPS now i know its not its total time is 3:12 track at total size being 936KB so it being a 456KBPS is not true so is there a application that gives true mp3 info mainly the KBPS is what i want.

I dont think so. Kdplayer doesnt give false information to me. Try the latest version.
And kbps means kilobits per second, NOT kilobytes per second for bitrates.

Also i apologize for the error i made with the KBPS but honestly can you see a song that is 456KBPS being only 936KB's & be 3mins 12secs long? Not normally thats normally about 32KBPS or 40KBPS so KD did give a false reading on that one plus some songs didn't even have readings of the KBPS.
I'll be getting the KD Player when i get my W910 (On Monday fingers crossed) so will test it again on there see if it give more clear readings it maybe my V640 thats the issue here.
I'll keep you informed but still wish to know is my KD Player the same Version as yours?

False bits reading usually happens when playing a mp3 that encoded in VBR (variable bit rate.)
Kdplayer can only read CBR (constant bit rate) mp3 correctly. That's because the bit rate in VBR-encoded mp3 are always changing.

There's another ID3 tag Editor for j2me fons.
U may download it from www.mobile24.com
Its name is:
MP3 Tools v2
U may find it in catagory "Free Mobile Softwares"

I find MP3 Tools to be better Entagger seems to make MP3s play up take for example...well um...uh i dunno...OH Try this edit a tag using Entagger then edit that same tag using MP3 Tools & notice there is a funny symbol at the start now do a different MP3 tag but this time use MP3 Tools first then Entagger & no symbol.
Also when you send them to a Motorola sometimes Motorola can't read the tags Entagger did i don't know why it sucks cause Entagger is better looking but MP3 Tools wins in performance.
UNLESS someone has a explanation for why it say "File Type Not Recognised" when sending it to a Motorola.

I've tried othere brands than Motorola & MP3 tools welcoms all.
In Motorola case, it may be the software programming fault.
All of us know Motorola is way behind in that aspect (in developing
its softwares capabilities). That's it. |

Haha mate i agree with that Motorola is way behind in the software dept but my mum, my sisters mate & my sister all own Motorolas so yeah but its Entagger that is the issue MP3 Tools works when bluetoothing stuff to Motorolas but then MP3 Tools is made more for Motorolas so i guess thats why. Entagger is made more for Sony Ericsson haha shame Nokia you don't have a tag application thats made mainly for your mobile...sorry Nokia users its just well Nokia is well known as the best brand so there is one let down there for Nokia. Go Sony Ericsson

U r a bit right,
Im a mover: Samsung>NEC>Motorola>Nokia>SE k700..k750..k800..k810
..k850..(next target is SE Idou) & never looked back to my left brands.
The biggest cause of this move is:
SE accepts j2me applications & games more than any other brands.
While Motorola accepts apps & games less than any other brand..
Thats my own observation, u may oppose it .. as evryman have his
own experiences...thanx
K750,K800,K810,K850 & now: C905 + 8GB Card + Fully customized, patched, elf packs, Vivaz fully hacked now |
