I'm not in the uk so I can't test it but there is a browser plug-in called 'Iphonesque' which fools sites into thinking you're surfing with an Iphone. No link as I'm posting from my mobile but Google will find it. (may help)

I'm using it on my N95 8gb at present. Quality is pretty good, though the sound and picture get out of sync after a while.The link from the BBC page starts up Real Player, and off you go. If you want full screen, pause the player, click 'options' and go for 'Continue in Full Screen'.

It's all still a bit 'beta' - I've also had the problem with Real Player saying 'unable to play media clip'. This seems to be more likely when you've played one clip and go on to play another - I wonder if the phone isn't closing Real Player properly after the first? Anyway, a phone reboot seemed to clear the problem.
