i don't know about the c902 or c702's hardware yet, this may be useful to you http://semcblog.wordpress.com/list-of-cameras/. the k850i's camera will out perform the c902's camera the k850 has a bigger focal length.

it's hard to find information or datasheets on sony cam modules.

number1 said: the new c902 & c702 are 5.18mm because the phones are smaller and have less space thats why the xenon flash was scrapped.

AFAIK c702 has 4.2mm focal length

does the focal length mesurement really able to fortell us the size of the sensor? some cameras with even an f=6.47mm focal length only incorporates a 1/2.5" sensor, and the intriguing thing comes when we saw N95 which has only 5.6mm but still fits 1/2.5" one.

Exactly Plankgatan!

That was probably the reason why we saw different focal lengths while in fact they sometimes fit the same sized sensor

Shorter focal length with the same sensor means wider angle.

maybe, but it also make your pictures worse...

c902 will never get the same quality like k850/k810.

i have seen quite many c902 pics and im not impressed at all. but but C-serie lives by its design, not by its outstanding pic-quality

N82 is a bit better than K850 in camera and K850 is better than N95..

So I guess N82 uses different sensor..

sorry i dont agree on that...(i think N82 have same sensor then N95. i also think K850 have a more stable camera).

1. N82 take "better" daylight pics, (with that i mean thicker saturation, which comes from its camera software)

2. K850 take better low light

3. K850 produce better details, (which means a more sensitive sensor)

4. which means that K850 have a better allround camera

thats my opinion

ps... im not saying N82 is bad.

i have show this 2 pics millions of times, and i show them again, (because i think they tells what i mean)

i think the k850 shot was over brightened look at the clouds. n82 shot was more realistic imho.

K850 has got the exposure time wrong and over exposed the picture it can be easily fixed in the driver i recommend always using -0.3 Ev with the k850 it will give the correct exposure time.

all Nokias 5 M.P lives by its camera software... the sensor itself dosent produce much at all.

K850 IMX020 produce very good details (clouds or not) and if wanted they could also "use" some after editing software (like Photo dj) to push up the color saturation on every pictures, but why would they, a picture should look natural, not like a good damn oil paint.
