G900 advantages:
- touch-screen & stylus, notes
- price
- battery life

N78 advantages:
- GPS
- FM transmitter
- has 850 band
- faster processor
- 3.5mm headphone jack
Disadvantages:
- Butt-ugly keypad w/ doubtable functionality

Does anyone know if the G900 allows voice notes on top of the post-it style notes? I am also wondering how GPS on the N78 works. Obviously you get the GPS signal for free, but can you download an offline map database (or at least a portion of one) so that you can browse w/out having to connect to the internet, or would you have to connect to some server each time?

most brands are better then samsung.
battery life on the G900 might be abit better then the nokia (strange) but they are both poor at it.
UI of nokia is far better then on the samsung.

go for the nokia, are wait a few more weeks for something thats far better.

@bart
I think he meant the SE G900 and not the Samsung.

@ch33sehead
(as you could expect in this forum) I would go for the G900 touch screen + touch auto focus, wifi
The specs of the Nokia are very good too, but it depends on your needs.

BTW I bought a separate FM transmitter for my phone few days ago and I'm not happy at all with the sound quality I get. Probably the reason is that there is almost no free frequencies in the FM band where I live now.

Meh, after some deep thought, I really don't see any of these phones as a HUGE upgrade over the K800. Sure, the G900's got symbian, which I guess is life or death to some people who love the features, but not too much of a necessity for me. While the sticky notes would be nice, I don't think it's worth it to pay that much for a feature that's more of a gimmick. I doubt the reception or battery life could get much better than the K800, and I could really care less about the camera (I would actually prefer a 2MP camera over a 5MP camera with such a tiny sensor, whether it's CCD or CMOS).

I think I'll just save my money until I see another phone that's a HUGE upgrade, like maybe the P5 (if it doesn't turn out to be the XPERIA X1) or something.

Good luck to those of you contemplating new phones!

^^aare yaar, 3g will be alloted to both Airtel and voda this year. And edge speeds in india are crap.its basically gprs. I really did not feel any difference in the browsing speeds of my K750 and the K850.

Well, I use EDGE and the difference in speeds is clearly noticeable. You may not notice the speeds in your area because that might be a local issue. I get upto 9KBps without EDGE and upto 33KBps with EDGE. That is comparable to a 256KBps line. So that throws the G900 out of contention. I still do not know why we can't have it all. Look at the N series.

i got a c702 to replace my k800i, i also stuck with my k800i for ages thinking theres nothing better, the c702 is quiet alot better it has a very good mediaplayer that organises music,videos,photo,games properly, the camera is alot better than the k800i's the main reason i brought the c702 is because i didn't want a 5mp cam like you, 3.2mp has alot better quality. c702 also has gps which is good and hsdpa, i'm on 02 and signal is great i nearly always have a full hsdpa connection internet using opera mini 4.1 is very speedy faster than my k800i using 3g and opera mini 4.1.

Thats a no brainer. N78 simply out classes G900 here. I'm not too overly impressed with UIQ.
