Its just like your ordinary headset, exept its wireless.
Because its wireless, it also has a battery. You put the headset in a cradle when recharging battery.

In the T-68 you have a bluetooth-module, and you have a module in the headset as well.
You "pair" the two devices, and they can then "see" each other when you turn them on.

Basically its radio-communication,...within 10 metres.

If you would listing to music, the mp3 player would need to have bluetooth-module as well, or in some way be integrated with the phone.

As Jan says, it is a wireless (e.g. not attached to the phone) microphone and earphone combination for use at a distance from the mobile phone leaving both hands free to do the washing up....or whatever takes your fancy!

Bluetooth is the name given to this specific type of local area radio communication, and is used in other devices than headsets too such as Handheld computers and PCs etc.

The headsets are often used in call centres in the UK at least.

The headsets have all, until now been produced by Ericsson and cannot be used with all phones - but only with a few Ericsson phones (some requiring adaptors e.g. T28, T20, T65 etc and some not e.g. T39, T68) and a couple of Nokia phones (6210 with adapted battery, or 6310 without an adaptor).

Here are some links to show you them:
HBH-10

HBH-15

HBH-20

Recently there have been other companies producing or developing new headsets, such as Nokia, Philips, BT, Plantronics, and Nextlink.to (Bluespoon can be seen at http://www.nextlink.to).

Through a mobile phone, I doubt it is currently possible to listen to mp3s stored on a phone - thorugh the bluetooth headset - as they tend to play the sound through the wired handsfree kit that adapts the phone into an mp3 player.

Unless u count ringtones

You cant use the 6210 with connectivity pack battery,..thats for data-use only. It doesnt support voice/talk-feature
6210 can be used with e.g. laptops with bluetooth cards.

The only one right now from Nokia is 6310, untill the 7650 comes along.

ok
so it's just a microphone connected between the two devices with help from the bluetooth.
And if I was to listen to mp3's, I would hve to buy the mp3-player(ericsson's), or mayby waint for a new mp3-player to come...
thanks =)
