I have a K850i on O2 UK, and it doesn't have the "off" option under shutter sound - it's just not there. Completely missing. Annoying!!

I have 10 credits at Davinci, but it seems a bit extreme changing the firmware just to get rid of the shutter sound. I would rather spend the credits on my girlfriends Orange phone which has LOADS of branding on it.

So, is there a different way for me to do it? Maybe replace "shutter sound 2" with a silent sound file somehow?

Thanks for any advice [addsig]

I'm not sure about this, but perhaps just delete one of the shutter sounds using XS++ or a similar program? You'll wanna get a second or third opinion on that though, as I have done very little in the way of hacking into phone file systems, etc.

I've just been looking at XS++ and from what I can read, you can't mod the k850 yet?

Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work

The only way I can currently get it to take a silent photo is if I take the photo during a phone call... not exactly ideal!
