I've had a k800 for over a year. I've been very satisfied by its photos. I've recently switched to k810, and I'm starting to have the impression that k810 photos are worse. They seem darker, with more "spots", as if the flash is weaker than the k800's. Also the darker parts of the pictures don't have a realistic view of the dark and black colors. They rather have a scale of brown, violet, and dark red. When I bought the k810 it was R1KG and I updated it to R8BA. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos when on R1KG, so I'm not sure whether the problem is due to the new f/w.
Does anybody have the same impression or is it just my imagination?

Well as far as i know the physical camera is the same as in K800 and the camdriver (atleast) in R8BA024 is the same as K800 V2.5.

As the poster above me recomended, try out some modded.
But hey, it isnt impossible that your camera is damaged. As far as CID goes i dont know if the K800 & K810 have a different
cammodule in some of its CID's like the K750 did.

I uploaded a couple of photos to show you what I mean. Look carefully at the areas inside the blue lines that I've drawn. Does anyone have the same problem?
Anyway, I'll propably take the phone to a service center, cause that's not what I paid for!!!

k800/k810 is not very good for indoor pics, (to small sensor)

maybe if you try with a camera driver you can get little sharper indoor....if you want sharp indoor pics, buy a 5 M.P camera.

i have never seen that before i think you have a faulty cam module yes take it to a service centre and get the camera module replaced, i use a k800i with k810i firmware and i have never had any pics like that before.

Looks like "posterization" effect. are you applied any in-camera effect?
also providing EXIF maybe helpful.

Plankgatan: Hallå hallå din gamle räv. Knackare.. haha!
PS det är Kai med ett i.

TS: There are modded drivers that take better indoor pics for K800/K810.
And no those pics you uploaded look weird, that colordistortion looks wrong. If i were you i would send it to service.

But one should be prepared that "darker indoor" pics can have some noise in them

Doesn't K850 have the same sensor on K800 and K810? or I wrong?

If he had solarize effect ON, there should be more distortions dont you think?
Try taking some pics its pretty obvious when you have it ON.

I should mention again that I DIDN'T have that problem with my k800, which took almost perfect indoor pics. Of course I don't have any effect applied (it would affect the whole pic, don't you think so?), and for sure I DON'T want to use a modded driver and mess up my phone while loosing my warranty at the same time.

@sky - That's really WEIRD pal I would suggest that you TRY different setttings with your cam. What's the camera-version-firmware you have by the way? The stock one ? [addsig]
