Right... I'm really sorry if this offends anyone here but i think after today i need to make this more publicly recognized... starting off here at esato.
Was walking down the street today when some imbecile blew his cancer-mixture smoke in my face, got angry and decided to start this thread.
I have no problem with the people who take this drug, (Yes... Tobacco is a drug *gasp*) But i have a problem with the drug the people are taking... bcoz its affecting us all. ~I dont want lung cancer... period. I dotn think anyone else does.
Anyone with me... just post the word AGAINST here.
Thanx.

Agree with you 100%!
I don't mind smokers, mums a smoker but can't really stand the smell and I don't appreciate it when it's being blown into my face... unless it's out of a shisha.. that smells good.

yea i agree. and now since the smoking ban its even more noticeable such as when someone gets on the bus near you whos had a few. i know that cant be helped of course, its more the people who seem to think the law doesnt apply to them and just stand in enclosed bus stops next to you.
im also clearly an avid user of public transport hah |

stupid bus driver
remember when i got banned from the bus company for "raising trouble with drivers" (was a good laugh) the bus driver would turn round with his pipe wedged in his mouth "aren't you banned?" which i would reply with a subtle middle finger
he still hates me (i'm as much as a pest as i can possibly be)
think of a meaner, and older scotsboyuk

Yeah smoking sucks, lucky for me, smoking in buses is prohibited here, as well as smoking in public places. So i rarely am pissed if a smoker blows smoke at my direction ;o |

Anyways... i dont see whta good it is for smoking to be legal. Can anyone give me any recognizable benefits of smoking apart from trade?

It provides a small pleasure in life for many people. And for pensioners like my father who've been smoking all of their life, giving up is not really an option.
Besides, smoking is not all about stuffing cigarettes down your neck as fast as you can. What abut people who enjoy a good cigar after a meal but do not smoke on an addictive basis?
It's a highly dangerous pleasure that some of us choose to partake in. If it wasn't pleasant in some way, people wouldn't do it. Rather like drinking alcohol...
But even as an ex-smoker, I totally agree that it should not be inflicted upon others. But others should not deny the rights of those that wish to partake in smoking either, providing that they are considerate and keep their smoke away from others.
