agreed with alpha, beautifully said. Its sickening to see some people praise SE/Nokia to an extent that it feels as if they're obsessed with it. If you're not happy, get another phone, no one's stopping you from switching.

Lol I think its becuase we find ourselves in a bit of a hypocritical situation now....

In the past 3 years Ive been a SE fan in a cellphone environment and always bashing Nokio and now I find myself going for a Nokio....

I know Ill take a N82 now over the K850...

One of those thing I guess.

@alpha:

that post "speaks" volumes and i only hope concerned people have "heard" it. oh well, i only hope people would not make Esato a debating/argument forum of this kind.

cheers to all!

Who cares about EDGE if you have HSDPA available in K850i?!?!??

while the technical specs you post are correct, people who live in areas that have EDGE available and not 3g/HSDPA will obviously care about this issue.

The original poster mentions he is in the US where 3g/HSDPA is still growing but EDGE is just about everywhere

And i'm in Portugal and EDGE has little/no support here, HSDPA has much better coverage with all 3 networks supporting up-to 7.2 Mbps. So i say again: "Who cares about EDGE!"

If i'm in an area (mainly coutryside) where i don't have HSDPA available, i just go with GPRS...

What I'm getting is this thread is saying that SE blew it because nokia announced the N82 and the W850 doesn't have EDGE? The K850 isn't an option? And its SE's fault that nokia releases good phones. The N82 isn't very new the N95 has been around for long enough. Eventually SE will have something good. Its just that there's no stopping other companies releasing good stuff too.

Hi guys

After reading countless posts about SE vs Nokia vs Samsung etc "SE is better because of this", "Nokia are worse because of that" etc etc people should realise that in this day & age IT DOES NOT PAY TO BE A LOYAL CONSUMER TO ONE PARTICULAR BRAND. Yes maybe we've all had particular issues (good & band) with a certain brand (phones & other products) & swore that we wouldn't go back to using that service/product/phone etc. But surely as a consumer we buy what we need, to suit our needs at that particular time.
For instance i've owned samsungs, nokia's, SE's (even motorola's!!) & at no point did the brand come into. I owned these phones because that particular model offered me the best camera/specs/size/weight/useful features etc that was on the market within my budget at that particular time, (well maybe not the motorola!).
Well I guess what i'm trying to say is "shop around", don't neglect a Nokia phone that may tick all your needs purely because its a Nokia & end up with an inferior SE model purely cause its "SE" (or vice versa).
At the end of the day you're only screwing yourself over.

very well said, couldn't agree more, please make the post a sticky

It's not being loyal or not,it's the fact that SE changed its strategy to a catastrophic one this year and so they are loosing us
