Does anyone know how to rid of this feature in the P1.

Its kinda of annoying to see it always prompting itself whenever I want to scribble text.
WIll updating firmware erase this?

this is just a guess but take a look in control panel > device > text input > predictive text and if chinese language is selected then choose none instead

Thanks Masseur. Tried your suggestion, but its still there.
I have a feeling this thing is embedded in the ROM,and that's why it wouldn't go away.
I wonder if updating its firmware will change it, or if there is a way to reflash the ROM to the ENGLISH one.

OK, got it done yesterday. According to the SE authorised dealer, you got to erase it from ROM. SO paid a Rm150/ to erase the entire ROM to English. WORKS great now.

Hey, I think I'm having the same problem.

Under Settings>Device>Text Input, I don't have a "Predictive Text" option. It is a P1i tho, not the P1c (Chinese) as I originally suspected. All the menus and such are in English.

What was ur solution again? Is such a uninstallation service from the ROM available in Canada?

I see you paid 150 Malaysian ringgits for this. Thats about 50 Canadian Dollars. Not too bad.
