Nokia will probably tag the manufacture for some FREE batteries in the future to make up for the ones being recalled. Nokia will not have to eat the costs.

like i mentioned before, that my phone gets hot during web browsing(not WAP, but HTML) so it means i've got the battery problem too?

The keypad area gets hot, and the battery is right underneath the keypad.

it's not the heat up that indicates the battery false, as many batteries heat up to an acceptable range, here's how you can know if your battery is false:

my batt gets pretty hot too, after 2 h wifi for example or a longer call, but i noticed that in other brand fones too and its normal on some way, under heavy usage. i checked my batt and its fine.

Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. of Japan has agreed to pay out for the 46 million faulty batteries in Nokia handsets.

Matsushita will cover the direct costs related to last week's product advisory on Nokia-branded BL-5C batteries.

'Nokia and Matsushita have a long business relationship and the two companies are cooperating closely together in this situation,' said Masatsugu Kondo, President of Matsushita Battery. 'Matsushita Battery has agreed to cover the direct costs associated with the product advisory, including, among other things, logistics costs, call center costs, and replacement battery costs.'

Nokia said it would replace batteries used in around 60 handets

did u noticed, that the batts what nokia give as replacement ( bl 5c ) have 1020 mah instead of the 970 mah?
