I havent updated firmware on any SE phone before, so a few queries...
Is backup necessary?
Should i remove mem card?

Common advice is too backup all information stored on the phone just incase everything goes wrong and you lose all of your data, or as you said you can just remove your memory card so then there is no need to backup data (unless you have files stored in phone memory aswell), although I have never had any problem with losing data during an update before. | |
