Agree 100 percent with most of the above.Had mine now for 3 months and after updating to the latest firmware my phone has settled down nicely. Its got a good camera and I find the video recording has improved after the update(anyone else notice anything.)Web-browsing is awesome on the big screen(you can do portrait or landscape) and with the touchscreen(with the callibration made very sensitive),it is a pleasurable experience, not to mention the jogdial..I use Opera Mini to browse(hope they will allow you to do landscape in Opera Mini when the next version comes out.)I also love the way you can customise the font settings to small, medium and large by using the zoom option.Theres a good selection of themes available which is always a good thing and Apps are popping up slowly. Its feels good.Well built phone.

I bought it 7 months ago and it was amazing phone from the very first day. I fully recommend you to buy one if you cant wait the P1 or dont have money for it.

Sucks big time. I never thought I'd say that after 1,5 years with P910i and a half of a year with a M600i, which luckly I didn't sold.
The P990i is not able to keep the music player, the browser and sometimes, Agile Messenger on. They all crash cuz there's not enough memory. For f@cking 3 apps opened. And, of course, the M600i can...that's the problem. PFFFT! to P990i and, hey, I am gonna sell it!
Any1 interested, drop me a PM - we'll talk about the price.

music player + browser, always, without problems

agile + music player, always, without problems

agile + opera, only after boot

good news is R6 will make it unnecessary to reboot phone in this situation

I have a P990i and have in the past been one of its harshest critics!!
When I got my P990i from Vodafone and it was horrible, buggy slow and generaly disapointing, the Vodafone SW only served to make matters worse.

However since I had the phone reflashed to a generic SE firmware by SEunlock
I have found the device a pleasure to use, it still has some small issues but these are minimal and the regular updates from SE are generaly improving things as they arrive.

Get a SIM free P990i if you can afford it if not get one from a network operator and have it reflashed youwill not regret it.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

You have convinced me, a P990 it is I will pay about 253 USD for a P990 and the company the rest, so I guess it is a good deal for me (as buying one totally on my own, I would be paying 586 USD).
