My very firstist phone was the startac (only Motorola i used) and i loved it but it only lasted 8 months and the aerial snapped off!!

This one looks nice too, as i think Motorola make really ugly phones at the mo!

Nope, this one is Tri-band GSM unlike its predecessor. [addsig]

ah! ok

for those wondering what we're talking about with "the last one" see A blast from the past

that was more like the original than this new one which is tending more towards V3x dimensions

Thanks for linking that "blast from the past" thread.

I must say i do prefer the look of that previous version, it somehow looks more elegant and retains the original startac look like you mentioned.

I agree, there was something about that Original Startac..i loved mine back in the days aswell, i think its popularity is probably more to do with the fact that it was the first real clamshell mobile.

that wasn't it for me.

I've always had a major dislike of clams, even since then. I think it was simply its beam-me-up-scotty appeal and very pocketable size

Its about time Moto does something with its ailling business. And its a breath of fresh air after all the RAZRization going on for a while. Should do well if the specs are more or less decent.
I don't want a signature anymore.
