Does anyone know what the latest version of the firmware is currently ?? My T68i says, R2E006.
Another question... Does anyone know where/how to upgrade the firmware in the US ?? Is there anyway to do it yourself ??
Thanks! |

mwep, the latest version is currently R5D. There is only one location in the US where you can get an authorized firmware flash. You'll have to send in your phone unless you live in MN. Look here to find out what to do.

Thanks for your prompt reply and information provided.
Can you tell me if it's worth it to have it flashed from R2E006 to R5D ?? Are there new features ?? I am just trying to justify sending my baby away for god only knows how long.
Thanks! |

No problem, mwep, we at Esato like to help.
Although the latest firmware version is R5D, the US service point in MN may not have this latest version. The last I heard is that they are using R5A020. Still, it would be worth the upgrade and many things have been fixed/improved, especially operation speed.
From the information I've seen, there haven't been major firmware improvements since R2F, so it shouldn't make a big difference whether you go to R5A or R5D. The service point turn-around time should be fairly quick if your phone doesn't require any actual service.

when receiving data by IR on T68i (R5D) it showed a low battery sign twice.
turning IR off, then the unit off and on again, the battery was almost full.
this is a bug. |
