it happens to me too even though i'm using the latest firefox..i think the wap apn is a bit faster than the web.
for the torrent, mine is a bit slow..i downloaded 35mb and it took more than 10hrs ! Any ideas as to how to increase it's speed using tigo dial up..also how do i enable a port so that other peers can connect to my torrent to make the speed faster?

did u give it the tigo ip
when u are on a torrent site searching anything
don't forget to remember to check the Seeders (SE) and the Leechers (LE)
they are very important
because the higher the seeders the faster ur downloading speed
And about the error on page U MUST LEARN HOW TO LIVE WITH IT
BECAUSE THATS WHAT U GET OUT OFF FREE
LOL
I am working with my group on that problem and if we find any thing i will let u all know
but its not a 100% sure thing
just like using other means off connecting to the net and having problem with REFRESHING OF PAGES |

I guess Lomolee is right, it's free so we shdnt complain. anyway i downloaded the utorrent 1.8 and i have no idea how to use it. i tried downloading an antivirus and it indicated that it had started but nothing was downloaded. and when i use the download manager, all the applications are corrupt. can anyone help me out |

well that's the problem with this tigo dial up ,lots of errors and it's frustrating .for the torrent set it to use the proxy as lomolee explained and look out for torrents with many seeders..but it is still not that fast especially when downloading larger files

When downloading try looking for ones with plenty seeder
Try AVG the new version on this site
www.thepiratebay.org
look for the one with many seeders
When the torrent starts in the utorrent client just right click the file u are downloading
and
SET THE BANDWIDTH ALLOCATION
TO THIS
HIGH
set download limit to UNLIMITED
set uplolading limit to 10kB/s
the reason for limiting the uploading speed is that
ur connection to the net is not strong
but when using other means u can set it to unlimited
AND TO U ALL
TRY STARTING DOWNLOADS FROM 10PM
IT WORKS WELL
BY THE MORNING THERE WILL BE A SMILE ON UR FACE UNLESS U DONT HAVE PEOPLE SEEDING

well mine is hovering around that but it's not stable some are as low as 0.1 kb. I've seen a speed of 7.1kb's which was stable for about 2 seconds

i think i've seen speed of 7.1kb's. But it was just for about 2 seconds tops then it just came down again

but dont u think download manager is faster for a given aplication
you guys should try opera's desktop browser. it minimises the errors on page

guys if ur using SE fon go to data accounts, install both apn. dat's 1. wap.tigo.com.gh 2.web.tigo.com.gh it makes browsing a bit faster

i was changing the port on ma pc and i have some intresting ports
