K800 Memory Issue |

How many songs/photos does the 64MB? internal memory on the K800 hold about?
I ask because very soon after I get my K800 in the post I will be leaving for a holiday in Italy, and I might not have enough time to order an M2 and recieve it. I hoped to take my K800 with me for photo and music uses like you do.
If 64MB? is not really enough for quite a few good snaps and some music, what M2 memory stick size do you recommend and how long do online shops usually take to deliver? I was hoping I think to buy from XL Shop UK online, has anyone else bought an M2 from them and are they quick to send and reliable?
Will 512MB be enough?
Thanks.

Coxy, 64mb is referring to the internal memory
Usually, a 30s mp3 sound clip (128kps) should be around 500-700kbs
Based on the current m2 prices, i will say 512 is more than enough.

as I said in your K800 Case/Protector? thread, I'm still waiting for mine. All the online shops I watch also still have them "coming soon"

Will a 512MB card be enough for some music and some photos?
I had a 512MB Duo with my K750 and that was more than enough, but since the K800 takes 3.2MP photos I assume the photos will take up more memory...

the answer to what size memory stick/hard drive or similar to get is always going to be the biggest available!

Well I think 512MB should be enough for me, I mean I don't put too much music on since I tend to rotor my music depending on what I am listening to at the time. I won't be putting on any videos, not for now anyway and yeah perhaps I'll take about a 100 photos, maybe less I don't know.
Still... XL Shop? Yes/No?

First, I totally disagree with the "always go for the biggest" theory.
If you are a normal users with good habbits. I don't think you need to store 500 pictures in your phone. What for? Also, I have a 4GB ipod and i tried my best to fill it with 1000 songs. And now, i could not even find the songs i like.
512 will be more than enough. Coz a mobile phone is just one of you toys, not your entire life. LOL. One mp4 moive, 30 mp3 ringtones, 40 mp3 songs, 80-120 pictures. Still spaces left.....
Regularly cleaning up your M2........ is always needed, don't be lazy |

I've only had the phone for a week and have only got 150MB left out of a 1GB card. Your best bet is to get the biggest available that you can get, currently 1GB. I got mine from Ebay from 'fonejunkie'. Ordered it around lunchtime last monday and was delivered on the tuesday. £40 inc delivery. |
