I haven't got the clear inbox on my O2 branded phone either. Would be handy. |

hmm.. I just got mine... and so far I have noticed the shots with the flash seem to be a bit smudgy. By that I mean that the phone seems to be overcompensating in the processing of the picture and things don't turn out as sharp as they are supposed to be. It's like a bit of a watercolour effect.
I have a k750i too so this is rather disappointing to find the k800 like this... anyone experiencing the same issue? Is this normal behaviour? Can I bring it back to SE for a replacement?
Attaching a pic for you guys to see what I am talking about.
Of course I have only had the phone for a few hours... so I could be doing something wrongly

The latest thing seems to be dead phones for no apparent reason. My partner's has died three times now (three seperate units) over five days. AND there are loads of people at work with it too.
It seems to be where the battery goes into red - so it's gone on charge for a short amount of time and then removed from mains then boom- dead as a doornail but - and here is the interesting bit- .... when we've taken the batteries out and put them in mine they have shown a green charge! |

Sadly that's normal, and it's the biggest drawback with the K800 camera - overzealous noise-reduction. It's bad enough when it's not sunlight out, but it's downright horrible with the flash on. Hopefully they lower the noise reduction in a firmware update, since this makes the flash nigh-useless. |

@kalleboo
Thanks for the clarification. I just got it last night, so the first shots I took were at night with the flash. I thought something was wrong with my phone as my k750i provides better flash shots with the MXE-60 attachment ( a bit noisier but sharper).
Took some day shots today and they at least appear much better. I hope they fix this soon as overall I like the k800i better than the k750i. Just that damn noise reduction.......

Personally I'd rather it be that way then full of the "blue line" noise that we had on the K750... |

Looks to me like ppl with branded phones have more problems then ppl with unbranded phones.
Seems to always be like this not only with k800. |

I found a strange thing with the notes application: Having six notes stored, and adding a seventh, when I pressed the "Save" button, the newly saved note did not appear in the list of notes. Instead, one of the previously stored notes appeared twice in the list. When I deleted one of those, both disappeared from the list. Anyone noticed something similar? |

Just wanted to add my two cents...
I got my K800 from Orange last night, and it's going back tomorrow right after work. I cannot use the shortcuts button at all. Orange have set it to open the 'Orange Home Screen' when pressed, but every time I press it, my phone locks up. I can do nothing except remove the battery, put it back in and restart the phone. Not very functional!
So far in the last 24 hours, this thing has frozen on me at least 15 times, and not just through pressing the shortcuts button. It freezes when I press other buttons, too. Weird. |

I think the morse code type radio thing comes in when you'ev been listening to the radio and then it goes to the sleep screen.
once its gone on the sleep screen it will shortly start after that, to get it to stop i just have to get it back on and enter the radio screen and it goes away.
try it out and see if i'm right, thats the way it seems to be with me

Got my k800 the other day and I too have been experiencing this problem with the radio.
I have found no consistancey in when it happens, it starts for a minute of two, then stops. Its extremely frustrating as well.
I have tried turning it on and off but it seems to do nothing at all!
Has anyone made contact to Sony Ericsson about it?

Did a quick search, but can't find any related posts... so here we go:
There seems to be no option to hide my number/caller ID under the more-menu in my Orange branded K800i. Has this option been dropped deliberately and is this the case with all modern phones? All of my previous phones had it. I know I can use the 141 or #31# option or use the option in Settings -> Calls -> show/hide my no., but I find that a bit of a fiddle to change....
Could this be a branding/Orange thing, or is it the same on all versions?

Bas
