the initial popping up of the menu icons does seem slow, and sometimes if I push the joystick in and then immediately move it left I get the "write new" menu instead of the dektop icons, but navigating the menus seems adequate and comparable to the k750
I'm using the nightshot theme

Hopefully new firmware will increase the browsing speed.

I agree about the initial lag of the menu.
Something I was having alot of trouble with, I know it sounds silly, but getting the blasted back cover off to get to the sim. It just doesnt budge the first couple of times you try.

I had a load of stick getting the back off too when i rang o2 earlier. The woman had to wait ages for me to get it off so I could read her the number off the sim to activate it, three of us tried and couldnt get it off for a while. |

Should be ok as it's mostly plastic. The metal connectors are the only thing you need to worry about

the sim holder is pretty much the same as k750/k700/t610 etc though I've always felt that could make it easier.
I have found that removing the back cover can be easy if you hold the phone upside down with the bottom facing away from you. grip both side and use both thumbs to push down and slide away from you. It does stake some force but once the slide starts it comes right off. again, the design could be made to make it easier.
The 8800 back is the worst in my opinion but I do like the moto V's for ease of removeal of the back

We've got two in the house and they both randomly throw up a white screen while doing something then it goes black and quickly comes back to life but where you were anyway so not a full reboot.
It does it most when rotating a picture in and mms creation.
Also (list being edited as found):
- crashes if you try to open an MMS where the received icon has displayed but the handset is still downloading the content
- crashes if you try to rotate a webpage using the * key while it's downloading
- can't get any email to send although can receive, seems to have been noted elsewhere

When sending emails you dont use the smtp server used by your email provides. You need to use the one for your phone network. There is a configuration tool on the se website.

i had a lot of trouble removing my w810 back until i discovered if you hold it in one hand and just use the thumb of the same hand to slide it pops off very easily. Using the two handed method took a lot of force, I gather because you're pushing down on the back bit that doesnt slide off and kinda lock it intil place more firmly. Not sure if its the same for k800 or not. |

It does not help, unfortunately, if the SMTP server does'nt want SMTP validation. For some reason, the email client tries to send blank login records to the server, which, depending on which internet provider you have, reacts differently. I have tried with an SMTP server that does require user login, and then it works. |
