Why is there a boy and girl logo type symbol thing up the top of my main screen beside my bluetooth logo and silent logo??
What is this |

@marky: Yeah, I've got that option as well, but I'm referring to the option to hide caller id after selecting a contact or after I've tapped in a phone number. The option you mention will turn caller id off for all calls. All of my previous (albeit undbranded) SE phones had the option under the 'more' key ('call and hide my number'). If this is a branding issue I might consider unbranding it with Wotan or DaVinci, other than that I'm not unhappy with the Orange branding.

@basoost: That option is missing on my unbranded EU4 as well, so it doesn't appear to be a branding issue. I've never used the option myself, so it's not much of a loss. |

why don't you just set the 'Show/hide my no.' as a shortcut? it's much faster than just going through the menu > settings > calls > show/hide my no. |

Anyone had a problem like this -
When phone is in standby and key lock on, when I receive a text message it pops up in the home screen but there is no option to view/expand. Have to scroll up or down first then return to it to get the options appear.
Also cannot get key sounds ( click, beep etc) to work

Hi, I have this issue too.
To rectify go to
Settings ->
General ->
New Events ->
Change from Homescreen to Pop-up.
It will now be more like other SE phones when you get a text. You do have to unlock keypad first I have found. |

yep, my unbranded has this from time to time. the O2 K800 I had was more like morse but in the unbranded its a high pitch whistle

Now I haved heard the morse beats in the radio too. I have had my K88 for about 1,5 months and never heard it before. However, after turning the radio off and on again, the noise disappeared. |

@kalleboo: Excellent idea... I'm not making enough use of the shortcuts anyway!
... can't help hoping that are giong to add this option again in future firmware update. Speaking of which, how long does it usually take them to release a new firmware version, what was it like with the K750i?

There is already a new generic version out, but unfortunately it's only available from wotan server. Fixes the radio issue and more. |

Im STILL getting radio problems!
So frustrating and annoying! Turning it off and on does nothing! Surely soon a new firmware will come out. |

An new official release from is R1CF that reached PRA 2006-07-12, so supposedly it will come out soon. I don't know from where wotanserver gets their firmware versions, or how their revisions matches 's official revisions, but 's version is free of charge, so it might be worth while to wait a few weeks more. |

although I did experience it twice on the O2 K800 that my son now has, I have not experienced this all week on my generic version and I''ve been using it both directions on the train to/from work and also at lunch times walking around town
still, if you're happy with your K750 then I guess you can look around for something else for your upgrade

Unfortunately it happens on my generic version too, but its not a big deal for me i still can hear the radio.
But the most annoying bit is when my radio gets muted for couple of seconds after maybe 5 mins. Does anyone knows why this happens?

Has anyone had issues with the joystick, or dust under the screen? These seem to be SE's achillies heels with all their handsets, and really peeve me off.

There is currently no dust under my screen and my joystick is working fine. Althought i can see some dust in the area surrounding the joystick but it hasn't affected the operation of the joystick. I've had my k800i for about a month now |
