Its a bug present on some W810 (not all). There are threads about it at esato.

1stly what's your firmware???
if you have an active gprs connection then try the update service feature in the w810i.

i contacted SE about this; and explain the situation.
she told me i can send the phone to a repair center for a sw-update, on the otherhand that's not possible cause there is no newer sw :?

the latest unbranded firmware to my knowledge is R4CE012, see if you can get it on your phone.

I think this has been covered somewhere else but i can't seem to find the answer so i will ask myself. When i use the light function on my W810i it flashes slowly. It is NOT in sos mode it is in the 'ON' mode. Any ideas??? Apart from that i think it's a great handset. Shame it isn't available in white as i have 1 of each of the SE range and love the W800i and W900i. Oh well, black it is (just like all the rest of the handsets)...

it is when i both use macro and the light to take pictures.
when both options are enabled the light starts to flash, bright, low, bright etc. very very annoying cause it takes 5 attempts to make the picture i like.
i searched the board but can't find a solution

I rarely use my camera but the macro function is switched off. This flashing happens when i select the light in the on position then after a few seconds it starts to flash Intermittently. Annoying as i use the light function at work. I have a sim free handset and the software is the latest version too.
