well clearly having made the choice for myself in this area between jasjar and k-jam, and chose k-jam, that would also still be my suggestion for you.
a few people here have followed my lead and so far I don't think any have regretted it.
@jcwhite_uk, apart from the slightly larger size, the battery drain was a big problem for me in the jasjar but the k-jam goes for days
for non phone PDA's I'm thinking hard about something with keyboard but nothing comes immediately to mind

Cheers masseur. I'll most likely follow that lead. I'll let you know.
Any other suggestions?

If you do not need a PDA wih phone capabilities and you dont mind Linux, Dynamism is selling Linux powered Sharp Zaurus PDA SL-C3200 with 4GB Hard Disk, WiFi etc.

a xda 2s is quite a good choice as they are dirt cheap and have all the functions you mention above, I think it would be a good entry level one myself

Yep, I'd recomment an XDA 2s as well, I have one and it's an excellent PDA/phone, has all your requirements. The qwerty keypad is quite small, but you can use it very easily.
