If you hold the button down it toggles the neon light on and off on the base of the charging dock

Thanks 4 the fast reply.
One more thing, when i listen to MP3 on the 8880 there is an option to transfer it to a BT headset, and when i do it the MP3 will play from the headset, i have a HBH 65. Is this normal, i never knew any phones could do this, only the new phone (k800) coming out had this profile. |

im pretty sure most recent nokias can do it because definately worked with my mates 6630. For Sony Ericssons, you are are right K800i is first phone released with the profile require (as far as I am aware) - my K750 definately cant do it! |

my 8910i can transfer music to BT!
why has it taken SE 4 years to come up with the same SW??

Might rename this the "Nokia 8800 thread" as i dont think there is 1 already,
can any 1 recomend any headphones that have the 2 ear thingys, cos the that came with the 8800 only has 1 ear thingy which isnt the best for listening to the radio? |

Ya i was going 2 get a black cover and get that done but decided not to cos the cover i have now has some small scratches on it and i will have 2 buy a new cover if i come 2 selling it so saves me having to buy 2.
I got it done at an engraving place at Bond Street tube station as i got a braclet engraved from there for xmas from a friend. It only cost 80p per letter but i had 2 pay a £10 minimum charge for the 8800 incase anything went wrong. |

Hang on, you had to pay if anything went wrong :S could you not have just given them the battery cover, then they might not have charged you that? It looks great though, i'm going for something similar
