Yahoo messenger on Airtel Live - Nokia 3230 |

hi
I have got GPRS activated on my mobile Nokia3230 thru Airtel Live. I am able to connect to the Yahoo Messenger but when it enters the main page where you see the number of people online or check messages, read messages, when I click any of those links.. it says "No Server Access"..
This is when I try to access it directly through www.yahoo.com .. and sign in..
but when I access it thru Airtel Live site.. then it says Subscribe to Yahoo zone when I click on Yahoo Zone it says "Web : Reply Unknown"
My Ph number starts with 99 series .. do u think there is some problem? I checked with my other friends and its working fine for them.. Can someone tell me wat is to be done?

Looks like you need full web gprs active....i.e. Airtel's Mobile Office... or that Net on Phone service...Im not too sure about the features of the latter but Mobile Office has unlimited & unrestricted access for a fixed monthly fee, which may differ from circle to circle...

I m new 2 airtel & just xchanged by wife's 6020 to a 3230 (both being edge enabled)...my gprs is mobile office & I don't ve the settings 4 airtel live...I pay 12 bucks daily (not bad 4 23KB/s download speeds) 4 it n yahoo messenger works fine...let me get the settings 4 airtel live & see if it works.

i had the same problem before..
try http://wap.yahoo.co.in
i got yahoo messenger working in minutes...
if this doesnt work, then try the "subscribe to yahoo zone" thing where u get
a strong network signal...

Same happening here.. I am able to login to yahoo mail.. but when I hit on messenger it takes me to Yahoo Zone to Subscribe.. but there when I click on Yahoo Zone.. it says "Reply Unknown".
Can someone help?

why use wap.....install Agile Messenger and have IM access to MSN, Yahoo both

U go to airtel live and enter yahoo zone from there.First u will have to subscribe .No need to go to yahoo wap page.it is free till may 31st.
or try in.wap.yahoo.com |

Is there any additional charges that we need to pay for this? The customer care is not at all responding properly.. all they say is your settings are correct.. and no problem from our side !

but now i have activated airtel mo...

@mrao if she accesses it via airtel live its free, she need not have to pay the additional wap charges
@meena i use y!messenger all the time, never experienced any such problem. Where are you from? |

i think the subscribe to yahoo zone option isnt active now..
