help me my camera is broken, insite the phone there is a handle that detects when your lens cover is open or closed.
This handle is broken and now it can't detect when the cover is open. so i can't make pics. is there software so the phone always detect it as open? or an other way to fix this.
or is this in garantee? |

I think you mean the microswitch?
Don't know if it's possible, but try setting what's left of it to the 'open' position and start the camera manually

i dunno really, should be free, if not only a small fee i think...
good luck anywy, it might be safer to let a proffesional do it, rather than buy it from ebay or whatever and try yourself, you might get yourslef in a hole and damage it more. i'd take it or send it to an SE service center or 'trustable' phone repair shop (be careful with that though).

i thought (foolish me ) as the switch is untouched , you could go to the menu press 4 and you still can make pics .
at the moment the switch is pressed inwards , its shuts down the camera , but could also be done with the return key
hope this make sense

I don't know if this is news or not - but the other day I found out that on the K750i, when the keypad is unlocked, you can open the camera by holding down the shutter button.

if you have any warranty left, you can claim that free...! Else get it repaired at your cost..and its always better to go to SE center and buy the spare from them and get it installed...Ebay might be great for Housings and Keypads..But for Electronic Spares..It's Your Risk...!
