Hi there,

Welcome to Esato

What version of Mac OS X have you got?

What bluetooth hardware have you got on your Mac?

You may want to check out the following sticky thread for more Mac help:

Apple Macintosh and Sony Ericsson issues

Cheers!

This could possibly be down to whatever Bluetooth hardware you are using in your Mac. Is it an external USB dongle? If so, what brand and model?

Some USB dongles don't support all features of the Bluetooth protocol. Many cheaper ones don't support the Voice Gateway profile, for instance.

Presumably you are following the same pairing process as if you were pairing it with a phone? And putting the headset into pairing mode before running the "Set Up New Device..." in the Bluetooth preference pane...

I have a HBH-608 and this pairs ok - although I haven't yet tried it with Skype.

hi jools,

i don't have any external bluetooth hardware, just what's built-in to the powerbook. i'e connect my k750i fine via bluetooth, so it just seems odd the headset doesn't work. are you saying i need to get a dongle?!

cheers, will.

No, the built-in Bluetooth dongles on PowerBooks should do the job.

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version?

EDIT: Glad you got it sorted!!
