Forgive me if this has been answered. I've been searching for hours.

Is it possible to transfer MP3's to the magicgate memory stick duo from iTunes?

Is there another way?

2 Options:

1) Plug the phone into the computer via USB, then drag and drop tracks from iTunes or the desktop into the relevant directory on the memory stick

2) Send the files from the Mac using Bluetooth with the Bluetooth File Exchange application

Note that DRM protected audio tracks such as those purchased from the iTunes Music Store will not play on the phone, however, MP3s and AACs you've ripped yourself or without DRM will play.

thank you.

When I drag the selection from a playlist to the memory stick MP3 folder, it copies the text only. No music. ???

I'm probably doing something dumb ...

Try dragging an individual track from the Library onto the desktop, to see if that actually copies the file. I've noticed that it works better if you just copy a few tracks at a time.

Alternatively, try one of the following apps:

iTuneMyWalkman
SyncTunes

I determined that the memory stick I was using was damaged. Problem solved. Thank you very much for the help!

check that. it wasn't defective. i was moving everything to trash, but it wasn't deleting. when i emptied the trash it free'd up the space. rookie mistake i guess.
