Hi, don't know if anybody can help but i 'm having probs with transferring songs over to my w800i, i'm using the usb cable and once it's mounted ON MY MAC, USING OSX 10.3.9, i open the media files folder, then copy my files onto the audio folder once there in there i dismount the phone and for some reason, they are either corrupt or missing ,i've done this numerous times and sometimes it wipes the card clean of all the songs i copied over? I've tried using the disc that came with the phone but i can't see any OSX software on it? it says that there's disk2phone software on it in the manual but it's all pc? any tips anyone thx Handlebars..........Good to have a MAC OSX FORUM, too many PCER'S.......

You're right - there's no Mac software supplied with the phone, but that's because you don't need any - everything you need is in the OS (especially if you're using Tiger).

SonyEricsson phones are designed to work best on a Mac using Bluetooth, so send your files that way and the phone will put them in the right place. Bluetooth dongles can be bought for around £10 and are well worth it.

You might also want to have a look at Dreamsicle.

Finally, check out the sticky Mac thread here:

cheers mate,
i have bluetooth, setup but didn't try because i thought copying albums would take an age, but i'll try tonight , so if i send them via the bluetooth browser then they should appear in the walkman part of the phone? have you copied over albums of around 70mg via blue tooth then? i just thought the cable was more stable? ta Handlebars
