Rule out the obvious things first: is the USB cable properly plugged in? Is the battery working properly? Have the drivers installed on your PC properly? Have you flashed your handset recently?

If you can rule out the above as possible causes of the problem then I would suggest a Master Reset. Save any information that you don't have backed up and then reset your handset and hopefully that should clear the problem up. If it doesn't then I would consider the possibility that your handset may be faulty or that the firmware may be faulty and perhaps you should try using a different firmware version, perhaps an older version.

Have you ever been able to transfer files to your handset? If so then look to see what has changed since then.

If not then I do wonder about the possibility of some sort of flaw with the handset. Perhaps you can borrow a handset from someone else and try that with your PC top see if it works.

I haven't seen anyone mentioning this problem before, which leads me to believe that it is a fault with your handset. Certainly my K750 doesn't have this problem and I know people who either have a W800 or who are using W800 firmware and they aren't having this problem.

I think that may be your best option.

You have the latest firmware. How was the phone flashed? This could be the cause of the fault.

well take it back to where you got it or go to a respected store (you guys wont have carphone warehouse will you )

ask the service centre what they say! if its still in warranty get it repaired. i have never seen this problem nor had it. it might be a physical default, i.e. something electronic. [addsig]

I had sent to SE center twice and all they did was remove all the bad memory and did a fresh reload of the firmware.but it still restart.I was damn piss off.
Can someone comfirm it again?
I select all the 5 folder in the phone memory;other, picture, theme, sound and theme with default item and transfer using USB cable.after a few sec the screen flicker and it went restart.

It's a bug with the firmware. Check the F/W post and you'll see it mentioned. I have tried to cover it in this post :

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=111693

But, for some reason not that many people have been bothered confirming this very real bug. A big thanks to those who have! It strikes me as strange how this rather serious bug gets less attention than the petty complaints about some minor "bugs" that I have seen in these forums.

No. My W800i does not have any of those problems. Tried it via and USB cable, on two different PCs.

Mine did the restarting when I was using the device explorer to install / debug some midlet.

But according to the SE developer site that a bug related to the API.

It works fine when I transfer files.
My f/w is R1N035 which they say its not the latest.
