To all Pinoys out there (to other nationalities too if you can help):

I recently bought an SE Vodafone 802se. I looked at the default Bluetooth name of my phone and saw Z800. Is it a Z800? If so, can I upgrade its firmware to a Z800i?

Also, can you guys kindly give me some suggestion regarding how to setup my phone, i.e. signal booster, mods, etc. Basically, how to make the most out of my phone.

Hi!

check the languages in the phone.

Does it still have Japanese input? In settings you can see Language.

In Language you can see -

Phone language and writing language

In Phone language can see

Automatic
English
Espanol
Portugues
{ <- Japanese ( Nihongo )
@
In writing language you can see

English
Spanish
Portuguese
Japanese
Standard abc
123..

These are written just as I have typed here and they do not exist in Z800i firmware,

I know because I just had my Z800i flashed back to 802se firmware.

@ofiaich: I don't have any Japanese support in both Phone and Writing. Maybe this is already flashed to be Z800.

@spoonbender: Thanks will do. Does 619 live in the Philippines?

I think so!

Check out if you can setup POP and IMAP email accounts!

If you come accross any 'copper coloured' faceplates, let me know!

Good luck!

Accounts can be setup for your telephone service providor, that is if they provide such a service..

and also for other accounts. When I had the Z800i firmware, I had accounts setup for my mobile phone providor... over GPRS, I think
....

and also the university address and the internet providor for my PC.

The setup was in connectivity>> data accounts...

and also in messaging >> email >> options... I think..

Need to setup the way of sending and receiving data... then setup an email account... and in the email account settings.. you can see
'connect using'... so you pair the way of receiving data with the email account.

only one account can be active.

Have a good search here at Easto in the threads about GPRS, EMAIL, MMS setup
