Memory Cards, Pro, Pro Duo? |

Right well after much consideration and reading your posts and finally took the leap and ordered myself a k750i it's coming tomorrow! anyway one feature was the mp3 abilities, I wasn't fussed on the orange of the w800i so I thought I’d give that a miss anyway i know that there are different memory sticks available i assume that there names mean that they are faster or what not. Basically my question is do you need a pro duo? Will I see much a difference as I thought these were aimed at photographs that need cards to process large piece of data quickly such as RAW image, I assume mega pixels are relatively small so do not need the ability.
Anyway is it worth splashing out on a pro duo?

Actually, memory stick related queries are quite common here on Esato...
Which is why i decided that it deserved an FAQ of its own!

Spongy1uk, the K750 will accept duo and duo pro cards. They are both the same physical size and duo pro devices are generally able to read both duo and duo pro cards.
However duo cards have a limit of 128MB so you need duo pro cards for higher capacities than 128MB.
The P900 for example has only duo support not duo pro - hence it's maximum capacity is 128MB.
What won't fit in the K750 is a standard Memory Stick, which is huge compared to duo cards.
