Hi..
I've got K700i.
I tried to delete one of the game that I installed but when I tried to delete from file managerit mentioned " Cannot be deleted protected file".
Other file/games I can deleted easily but only this one game.
Any idea how to delete this file?
Thank you. |

darts is as i know predefined game, so it can't be deleted. about the other one, can't say. try to switch off/on your phone, maybe it will help. |

First of all, it's super real TENNIS, and it comes with the phone's original contents. So it can't be deleted, just like darts.

They may be an extension of the firmware. I have had the same experience trying to delete- Game: Super Real Tennis.. Sound: Greeting.midi and Sony Ericsson.midi [I failed but you can try- moving them to other folder OR deleting it from the Comp browser when phone is connected.]

no, because phone explorer often crashes when you try to delete predefined items.
anyway there are ways, but you achieve nothing.
so don't bother. |

Blayv... what are the ways of deleting them?
I'd really be interested, since I want my phone to be perfect (w800) and want to delete 'bullseye', videodj sounds, etc...
Please, let me know! Thanks in advance

I had this problem when recently upgraded my K700 to R2AY004. My phone came with RAE0033 and I cold delete some of the pre-installed games like the river rafting game and some of the sounds except for Sony Ericsson and Greeting

If you want your phone to be perfect, then you shouldent criple it by deleting these items. They are part of a perfect w800.
Deleting "bullseye" will disable your possibility to user select an mp3 for sms sound. Deleting video dj sounds will disable the possibility to add sounds in the videodj application. Other predefined items that are not deletable have similar dependencies to ensure full functionality of the phone, like the default theme which will be selected after doing a master reset. If this get deleted you will have a blank menu that you cant function if you should ever have to do a master reset. Same goes with default nondeletable ringtone. Deleting the sample video and the shortcut in activity menu wont work. etc etc
A "perfect" w800/k750 is a phone that comply to factory standards, thus are fully functional in every way intended, and therrefore able to sell on secondhand.
A w800/k750 with nondeletable items removed by altering firmware, is just a semifunctional messed up piece of ****

Well... that's a nice point but, let say:
- I first 'replace' bullseye by selecting another MP3 for ringtone, and do the same with greetings.mid for alarm...
And the videodj's sounds... ok... although I would never use them, i could have them just to have them available, but what about the other files I mentioned before? To delete them you have to change firmware?
And besides... I'm asking for the information on HOW to delete them, please tell me just that and leave the rest to my own judgement!!!

Well, thanks blavy, but I don't even have that/those problem / games since I own a w800. I don't care about the games, I don't want to delete them. The files I'd like to have deleted or renamed are:
- Greetings.mid
- VideoDJ's Sounds
- BullsEye MP3
