Dear all:
I'm so impressed with K700i as a can do alot with it.. But due to limitation of memory capacity 41mb l find myself I cant insert a good number of mp3. So is there any way to extend the storage capacity of this phone using external accesories like memory stick, flash disk and so on....?

use aac compression (mp4) - will give you file sizes much smaller than mp3 for the same quality

I had 30 tracks on my K700 at one stage and still heaps of room for photos. Not as good as removeable storage - but better than nothing.

I have also heard the same as the one who said about swapping the motorola phones chip,i think the internal memory chips are similar or identical to that of another phone which has 128mb of memory. Someone brave enough could try that ;-)

Even if you would swap the internal memory chip for a bigger one doesn't mean that you can use the extra memoy. The SW also has to take advantage of that.

@floke, not necessarily - the os's would have a reasonably open memory architecture to save code rewrites from one model to the next. If the chip architecture matches, there is a good chance the extra memory will be available to the os.... 128MB K700! Whooot!

However it would be quite expensive to buy the chip and have it installed. This job is for someone who has A1 soldering skills and the right soldering equipment.
