To take a video could someone tell me if I'm doing it correctly.

When I open the shutter and then select the video instead of camera, I press half way and allow the green light to stop flashing... then press all the way down to start recording. Instead of recording, the phone jumps back to the main menu screen.

What am I doing wrong????

Hi, Have you tried simply pressing the camera button all the way down instead of halfway? As i dont think that the macro function works in video mode, Unless im am mistaken.

It could be a manufacturing defect explained on this thread:

It's not really a matter of pressing the button halfway or not. Read that thread carefully and you can decide if it's your case or not.
