Any solutions for the following problem?

I have a K750i (R1N035) and noticed today that if I try to transfer a folder with over 10 files to my computer from the phone, the phone kind of restarts. The screen goes dark, then white, repeats this and then it look for reception like starting up. I also noticed that when I transfer files to my computer, the initial transfer rate is about 300 kbps and it reduces to about 4 kbps gradually after each file and finally it does that start up kind of thing.

Has anybody else had the same issue? Any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

The K750i / W800 has Bluetooth 2.0. And unfortunately BT 2 wants to connect using EDR - Enhanced Data Rate. Bluetooth 1.1 & 1.2 don't support EDR.

From what I understand, the K750i / W800 tries to reconnect using EDR every 15 minutes or so. This can cause the connecting device to drop the connection...

This is IMHO very wrong.

Neither of these phones have EDR.

Read Happycheesecake's first post at the start of this thread,
bt2 does use EDR, this is why we are having these problems.

...hmm also got me this fine telephone...w800i...
i've got a SE hcb - 30 carkit and i also have problems with connecting.
paring the 2 devices was allready hard, but it happened.

My phone was a few times connected with my HCB-30 but there was no sound when someone called. When i called to someone there was sound.

When i disconnect from the car, the phone takes a long time saying disconnecting, but finally i just take out the battery and then its also disconnected...
Also updated using the sony ericsson update service.
Also got BT on my HP NC6120 notebook. Bluetooth is working ok with my telephone, but also had difficulties paring the device in the beginning.
My other phones what i had before didnt have problems (off course they have BT 1.0 or 1.1) Ericcson T68, SE T610, SE k700, Se P800, Samsung D500.

Hoping for some good result because i allready sold my D500 and i dont like the earphone from SE w800i. It falls out of my ears :?

...ps. those nokia ppl that post dumb msg's on this discusion can better stop saying something. Also had some nokia's in the past and they all got broken, hung on use or went off (when the battery was not empty)

Two things, the Bluetooth specifcation allows two version of BT 2.0

BT2.0 ... and ... BT2.0+EDR, the current SE phones support BT2.0 only.

The comments at the start of the thread are very wrong. So the whole thread is very misguided.

I am trying to help clarify the truth, then maybe you will find the true cause of the problems rather than speculating on incorrect facts.

... Well, it's true My Nokia N70 works absolutely fine with all the headsets I pair it up with, never fails, never disconnects and its BT2.0

I used to love SE phones, and before SE.. just Ericsson

But it seems to me that they made a big mistake with the K750i and W800i phones, I believe that that K808i also has the same issues, from what I hear from a couple of owners. So for me (for now) its back the Nokia as it works !

Come on SE, fix it (IF YOU CAN) and I'll come back.

SE Hopeless!! They don't want to admit there's a problem. I've tried 2 car kits "HCB30" & "HCB300" and 3 W800i" all to no avail. Anyone with any futher suggestions? Yes software update as well.

How does W900i fair or am I going to have same problem?

Damn SE, i have tried thoes Bluetooth

Motorola:HS-810, HS-850, H700
SE: HBH-300, HBH-610

Funny thing is, all SE Bluetooth keep disconnet with my W800i, ones i finish 1 phone call, but all Motorola Bluetooth working PERFECT.

All SE and Motorla Bluetooth working perfect with my Sharp 903Sh.

My W800i is running Taiwan Firmware.

Should i flash my w800i firmware or?

BTW, the BT dongle working perfect with W800i, im useing D-Link one.
