k700i radio problem |

i cant get my radio to work, the headphones that came with the phone are plugged in correctly, i select radio and it still says "please insert the handsfree. it works as the radio antenna" as if they wernt plugged in! any ideas why this is???? |

Probably something wrong with the handsfree connector....try a different SE handsfree and see if that works....

Probably just dirty contacts. Give it a clean and a wiggle when you plug it in. |

Clean the contacts, it should solve the problem, I've posted how to clean it so please search for it!
Ok I found it, here you go:

And there's another thing, you should remove the headset by pressing it upwords not just pulling it out - most SE users just pull it out and the little plastic hooks (i don't know what to call it) get damaged so it won't fit correctly anymore! this cause the phone not to detect the headset and of course the radio won't work!

Have u tried with different headsets? Don't have to be stereo to enable the radio, it's used as an antenna |

i had the same problem it was defective headphones got some cheap stereo ones from e-bay
