I heard about these rumours:
Cisco wants to buy Nokia?:
Ciscokia:
This one came a little from out of left field: apparently Cisco, who’s been gobbling up companies in the last couple of years (namely Linksys and more recently KiSS), has expressed serious interest in the acquisition and merging with a wireless infrastructure company—specifically everyone’s favorite Nordic handset manufacturer, Nokia. Might not be a bad idea for Nokia since they’ve been feeling the pinch lately—plus they could get in good with some enterprise VoIP stuff from Cisco. But is it going to happen? Does Cisco really want to get wireless? And most importantly, what would they name their spawn—Ciscokia, or Nocisco?

Cisco in the market for Nokia?
Cisco is reportedly looking to pick up a little action in the mobile phone and networking market by snatching up a major player in the market, and the current view is that Cisco is smitten with lust for Nokia.
Might Sony Ericsson see some competition for Ciscokia? I'd say no, but Cisco has been on a buying spree, and and their acquisition of Linksys seems to have paid off. There's money to be made in the consumer electronics market, and Cisco wants some.

With Cisco buying Nokia they would step clearly out of the 3 ring hedgehog concept (Good to Great - Jim Collins). Unlikely to succeed.
